About Sarah-Jane Walsh
A UK-based factual television producer specialising in natural history ‘blue chip’ storytelling with 10 years’ experience. I have directed over 25 behavioural sequences across several long-form productions for premium broadcasters including BBC and Netflix.

I'm passionate about character-driven narratives and I strive to craft films that are not only visually stunning but also resonate with audiences on a personal level. I approach each sequence with meticulous detail, applying my experience as a biologist to capture authentic stories.

Working as part of a team I engage early with DOPs to ensure the story-telling toolkit is both ambitious and well-crafted creating an immersive experience for the audience.

I am experienced working with an editor, edit-producing sequences that I have directed and form part of larger feature-length films.

HSE MEDIA DIVE SUPERVISOR
Over 20 years experience as a diver. Dive instructor and HSE Media qualified. I have supervised a number of dive shoots including rebreather and open ocean sea ice.
SELF SHOOTING

Technically orientated, have a good knowledge of the latest camera tech, can build a RED long lens set up and can shoot using Sony X70 and X90.
Drone qualified.
IRATA ROPE ACESS
Rope access qualified. experience working with lvl 3 riggers for tree platforms and rock-face anchored filming systems.

REMOTE FIRST AID
Remote first aid qualifications for a variety of habitats; jungles, mountains and underwater. Emergency O2 administration qualifications.
